Something is missing

While this is a very good documentary about Herblock, its context is oddly chosen. The only cartoonist interviewed is Jules Feiffer, and while his commentary is welcome, why no other political cartoonists? Herblock began his career in 1929 and yet none of the cartoonists he must have influenced in the last 50 years are interviewed except Jules Feiffer. Why not? While newspapermen and comedians like Jon Stewart and Louis Black are interviewed, the modern cartoonists who have carried on what Herblock did are notable by their absence. Why are they missing? It leaves a gaping hole in the retrospective. While Paul Conrad (an artist obviously influenced by Herblock and for many years a contemporary) is gone, others remain. The film doesn't even point out the artists who have clearly been influenced by Herblock.
