Archaeological Mysteries/Discoveries To Spark Indiana Jones’ Next Adventure

It was recently announced that Lucasfilm would once again be teaming up with Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones 5. During his cinematic adventures thus far, Indy has gone after the Ark of the Covenant, tracked down a stolen sacred stone, found the Holy Grail, and uncovered an alien UFO.

The last Indiana Jones movie was set in 1957. I imagine Indiana Jones 5 will be set either in the '60s or '70s. There are a number of adventures that Indy could find himself in, but what’s next for the adventurous archeologist? Officially, we’ll have to wait and see — but in the meantime, here’s a list of mysterious archeological discoveries and legends that could spark Indiana Jones on his next adventure.

I will say that a lot of these are in North America because I think it would be cool to see Dr. Jones

Joe Swanberg’s ‘Digging for Fire’

“Have I ever told you the story about the time I tried to find a dead body?”

Sounds like an ear catching anecdote, but in reality that’s the line that started Jake Johnson (New Girl, Jurassic World) and Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) down the road which eventually led to Digging for Fire, a film that garnered a 2015 Sundance Film Festival premiere. Jake Johnson and costar Steve Berg (Drunk History, Skinwalker Ranch) have been on tour promoting the film with several Q & A’s across the country. Last Friday they brought their wit and a pitcher of beer to the front of the screen at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX.

“The way Joe (Swanberg) and I work is we just keep pitching each other ideas until one jumps out… I texted him one night and said, ‘Have I ever told you about the time I tried to find a dead body?

‘Skinwalkers’ Review (aka Skinwalker Ranch)

Stars: Taylor Bateman, Steve Berg, Michael Black, Erin Cahill, Carol Call, Kyle Davis, Jon Gries, Nash Lucas, Matthew Rocheleau | Written by Adam Ohler | Directed by Devin McGinn

When Skinwalkers arrived to review, I was confused. I remember Skinwalkers being a fairly good movie about werewolves, where this was not it. Doing a bit of research (looked on IMDb) I discovered that this is in fact Skinwalker Ranch a “based on true events” found footage/documentary style tale of alien abduction. That confusion over I was intrigued to see where this one would go.

In an event that “shocked the paranormal community around the world” a ten year old boy goes missing while playing baseball on his father’s ranch. Years after, his father still lives there searching for signs of his son. When a scientific team arrive to investigate the disappearance and strange events that take place on the ranch,

Q&A with Skinwalker Ranch Director Devin McGinn

  • DailyDead
With Skinwalker Ranch recently being released to VOD, we invited director Devin McGinn to take part in our latest Q&A feature. Devin tells us about his interest in the paranormal, why he decided to take on the Skinwalker Ranch, and his experience making the movie:

Have you always been interested in the paranormal? Are you a firm believer in aliens and ghosts or are you more of a skeptic?

I have indeed always been interested in the paranormal. I would not proclaim to know if any of these things absolutely exist, but I can tell you I had a very strange and unfounded fear of alien abduction at a young age. Hopefully it was just my overactive imagination. I also had a very real fear of flesh eating slime and that certainly is not a reality. Right?

But yeah, I was always interested in that kind of thing. Monsters,

In one specific testimony from the family that first moved into the ranch in 1994, they claim that they encountered a wolf the size of a small horse that was impervious to bullets, even though it was struck numerous times. Exclusive Red-Band Trailer for Skinwalker Ranch

We are happy to debut the red-band trailer for the awesome-looking supernatural thriller, Skinwalker Ranch! For those of you not familiar with the film yet, it was inspired by an actual location in Utah known for its unexplained paranormal phenomena. I'm not the biggest fan of found footage films, but this one looks like it will deliver some intense entertainment.

I'm very familiar with Skinwalker Ranch, and I've heard and read a lot of stories about the location over the years. I was wondering when someone would actually get around to making a film based on it, and here it is! I've mentioned before that my brother actually snuck onto the grounds and saw some pretty crazy stuff. It's definitely a good setting for a movie, and some great concepts were used in this movie.

George Lucas Should Steer Clear of This Skinwalker Ranch

When did Found Footage horror movies start getting fancy production values? Because it sure looks like director Devin McGinn’s “Skinwalker Ranch” is a snazzy pretty little number with some very decent visuals up its sleeve. Heck, it’s even got a star in Jon Gries, who you may recall as the “tall, skinny, and twitchy guy” in a variety of TV shows over the years. That’s a first, too. I’m not the biggest fan of Found Footage, but when they’re this slick looking, I can probably make an exception. “Skinwalker Ranch” is supposedly “based on a true story”, which is to say, a bunch of kooks claim this has happened to them. Too bad they didn’t have all the fancy recording whatchamacallits of the characters in the movie.
