It was really nice to see unselfish parents who put their kids before their own personal happiness.

IN A NUTSHELL: If you saw the first movie in this story and are ready for more, here you go. It's definitely more of the same romance and cheese. The story is based on the book by Linda Lael Miller.

The love-fest was directed by Peter Benson. Writing credits go to Linda Lael Miller and J. B. White.

THINGS I LIKED: Emmanuelle Vaugier and Kavan Smith make a lovely couple. Unfortunately, their characters spend the bulk of the movie bickering with each other.

The young cast is adorable and includes Sawyer Fraser, Cassidy Nugent, Josh Zaharia.

We get to hear some nice, country music by Michelle Harrison and Peter Benson.

The manly/country names of the men and boys cracked me up: Boone, Hutch, Slade, Dawson, Fletcher, and Griffin.

We get to see some beautiful landscapes in Montana.

    Cute proposal and wedding scene.

It was really nice to see unselfish parents who put their kids before their own personal happiness.

There's a scene that shows a baby's gender reveal party. If you're pregnant and ready for an announcement party, check out my book on Amazon! It's called, "Baby Announcement Ideas and Gender Reveals: 200 Creative Ways to Share Your Great News".

The story is about how difficult it is to blend families. My parents divorced when I was 10 years old. They both had second marriages, so I could absolutely relate to the difficult transition that can be for young kids.

There are two romances, not just one!

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE: It's definitely more enjoyable if you've seen the first movie. You can read my review or watch it on my Movie Review Mom YouTube channel. This one is definitely less romantic than the first one because the lead couple is engaged and now dealing with all of the stress and business of planning a wedding and trying to figure out how to merge the two families.

Awkward kisses between the main couple. The better ones are between Michelle Harrison and Peter Benson.

    Super cheesy dialogue.

Some of the transitions between scenes are rough and abrupt.

    There's a break-up that lasts only about 30 seconds.

    It's pretty predictable.

More humor would have balanced the fighting scenes.

    TIPS FOR PARENTS:

    Kids will be bored.

Talk of a mother who died.

We see two gay dads at a parent/teacher conference.

    Talk of blended families.

    Disappointed!!!

Love the fist one ... 2nd one - too much going on!! The daughter still has issues with dad ... it was ALL over the place .. hard to keep up.....I I absolutely would not recommend this if you've seen the first If you didn't see the first one then, by all means , watch this one then you will not be disappointed ... I am not a expert on movies or a critic- I just know what I like and this was not one of them . But don't take my word ... everyone is entitled to their opinions. I did like the first one I really did maybe you will or maybe not . The actors are well known and I enjoy their movies . Have a look.

It's no Yours, Mine and Ours...but it is a wonderful follow up to the first film.

This is an excellent sequel to the first movie Big Sky River and it starts right where the last film ended.

Tara has now officially movies to Montana, the school year is starting with her getting her class into shape, and things are still progressing with her cowboy Sheriff Boone.

When Boone finally pops the question...the couple starts to have some struggles, leading up to their first big fight. They need to decide where to live and they really need a bigger home, which leads to them looking at a large ranch. This brings it home for the kids as the boys do not want to leave their home.

This really showed off the struggles that blended families experience when trying to become one. I love that their friends rallied around them and supported them.

There is more focus on our famous singing resident and her love life.

I thought this was a beautiful follow up to the original film and if you enjoyed that you will enjoy this one too. I stick by my original assessment of the first film and I am still hoping that Hallmark will go back to offering up escapism vs. Realism.

Casey Elder: Tara, darling. Erin has her faults, just like the rest of us. You may not have liked the way that Boone talked to her ... but him calling her out doesn't mean he doesn't care about her. It means he *does*.
