Christine and John are brother and sister, unexpectedly brought together the night their father suffers a stroke. Neither were with him when it happened. Both got emergency phone calls and raced to the hospital. And now they wait. Finally a nurse comes out and tells the siblings that due to the sensitive nature of their father's health and the rules of the floor, he can only have one visitor at a time - one now, and another in an hour. The unspoken is obvious to them all: with his life hanging in the balance, an hour is everything. And so daughter and son, younger sister and older brother, must decide who gets to go back - and at what cost.
