Not for nothing is the most seen movie in Peru
14 June 2013 | by cesarcavero-97See all my reviews

Before this movie, the Ice Age 4 was the most seen movie in the whole country. Now this one has broken all the records.

In a country where the film industry isn't so developed, that a film has reached three thousands spectators is not a little thing.

Asu mare is directed by Carlos Alcantara, a Peruvian public figure, and based on his own stand-up comedy with the same name. Here he tells the story of his life, from before he was born, until nowadays. Here we can find a lot of other Peruvian actors and actresses.

This movie is a comedy, so, obviously, its objective is to make people laugh. And it really does. Although it's adapted and focused in a Peruvian public, it could be seen by everyone, even if you're not one. And you're still going to laugh hard.

By the title, we can know that it is about our mothers (Mother's translation to Spanish is: Madre. Here we find it without the "d"). And this is a topic we all will understand and enjoy. And also laugh.

But, it also have another meaning. Here in Peru, "Asu Mare" is an expression that you could find in, for example, this situations: "Asu Mare. How cold it is!" or "Asu Mare. That thing is very expensive!".

But, however. Asu Mare is a movie worth seeing. Just see it and enjoy. It won't disappoint you.
