- We open with Nolan talking to Emily and Aiden about the blackout. Nolan is going to try to set up a rudimentary connection to his satellite.
On their way to safety Daniel tells Charlie to tell Declan about the pregnancy.
Jack and Victoria talk about the recording he has on Conrad. He tells her about the laptop he thinks is in Conrad's possession and what might be on it. She offers to help get into Conrad's private office.
Declan and Regina still can't get out of the ATM vestibule.
Conrad sends his election staff home to be with their families during the blackout. Afterwards he tells Ashley to have his chopper ready to pick up Victoria in the morning.
Emily figures out the Falcon must have hacked Carrion in such a way that it was put in motion when the used Aiden administrative code to hack ACF. The sense is Aiden could be made into the next David Clarke.
While Jack searches through Conrad's stuff he tosses files on himself and Amanda onto the desk. Victoria hides the file on Jack when his back is turned. Jack tells Victoria his plan is to turn over the recording to the press.
Nolan is finding out he can't control Carrion. It's going to take him some time to get it back.
Declan thinks Regina has romantic feelings for Charlie, which is why she wants him out of the way. The power returns and she leaves the ATM, on the way sneaking some cash in his pockets.
Conrad advises Daniel to avoid Grayson Global.
Conrad arrives at home to pick-up Victoria. She tells Conrad about Jack being convinced he took the laptop and his plan to sabotage the press conference. She lets him know Ashley is involved.
Emily and Nolan find Takeda's body. She flashes back to an early meeting with him and becomes emotional. They figure out the killer took the weapon and moved his body, which is a show of respect. They worry that Aiden or Emily could be next.
Victoria places Jack's file in the trash. Inside she finds the positive pregnancy test.
Declan drops by campaign headquarters. Regina is effectively tricking Charlie into thinking Declan hit her and stole her bail money.
Daniel is told by an IT guy that it will be hours before Grayson Global's network is back up and running. News reports are saying the blackout was a coordinated cyber attack. Victoria drops by Daniel's office and tells him Emily's pregnant. Daniel says it wasn't Emily and Victoria figures out it must be Charlie.
Conrad tells Ashley he doesn't want Jack at his press conference and doesn't want her to mention that fact to Jack directly.
Ashley sends Jack a text to call her, as she information related to Conrad. Jack can't get through. Jack looks through Amanda's file and sees that she spent time in Japan.
Emily tells Aiden that Takeda was murdered. She shows him the picture she found in Takeda's apartment of the man she thinks was his killer. Aiden thinks he works for the Initiative. She wants to find the man, but Aiden tells her they should leave everything behind. She notices his bruises and realizes Aiden killed him. Aiden tells her Takeda's fiancé was on Flight 197 and he was never going to let her out. She doesn't believe him. Daniel calls but the connection is terrible.
Conrad calls Daniel at work and asks him to leave. He says he needs him by his side at his 4pm speech. Emily shows up. Daniel learns the company's server is down for another day, at least. Emily recognizes that the IT guy is the same person from the picture in Takeda's apartment.
Conrad's security catches Declan trying to sneak into campaign headquarters looking for Charlie. He lets him in and Victoria takes him aside. She tells him Charlie is knocked-up and warns him to stay away from her daughter.
Jack gets a text from Ashley that says she has Conrad's computer. She wants to meet at Grayson Global. We see it was written by Conrad.
Aiden tells Nolan the truth about Takeda and gives him an envelope to give to Emily. Aiden figures out Emily still has feelings for Jack.
Charlie tells Regina she doesn't think Declan's behavior makes sense. Declan calls and tells her he thinks Regina is obsessed with her. He says he knows about the baby.
Emily pays Nolan a visit. He gives her the envelope, which contains a picture of Takeda's fiancé. Jack calls Nolan and says he's on his way to pick up the computer at Grayson Globa. The connection cuts off before Nolan can tell Jack it's a trap. They see the man posing as IT (who Jack is about to run into) is Gregor Hoffman, an assassin.
Jack arrives at Grayson Global just as Conrad takes the stage for his speech. Nolan tries to no avail to reach Jack via phone.
Aiden packs his things and glances at Emily's passport.
Hoffman walks into the speech and exchanges a glance with Conrad. Suddenly everyone in the room gets a text. It reads: "LOVE LIVE DAVID CLARKE." There is an explosion at the top of the Grayson Global building and debris begins raining down on the street. Emily goes to the building.
Nolan gives Aiden an update on what has happened. Nolan warns him that this event will be linked to him, but Aiden hangs up and springs into action.
Conrad begins taking a very public role in organizing rescue efforts at the scene. Ashley has notices how convenient the whole thing is, including Daniel sending his employees home for the day.
Emily reaches the floor where Jack was supposed to have his meeting with Ashley. She spots what looks like Jack, but firefighters grab her and take her away.
Jack arrives in Nolan's office unharmed. He got Nolan's message warning him to stay away. Nolan tells him about the Falcon and Flight 197. He says he was supposed to meet with Ashley. Jack's plan seems to be to pretend Conrad has killed him.
A slightly injured Emily runs into Daniel on the street. She checks in with Nolan who tells her about Jack being okay and destroying his phone so he can't be tracked.
Jack grabs Ashley and demands answers. She swears it wasn't her and thinks it must have been Conrad, who knew about the explosion beforehand.
Conrad's told that a man has survived the explosion. Aiden arrives at the scene and is promptly punched by Daniel, who has the police grab him. It turns out Declan was the one who was injured in the explosion.
Nolan and Jack figure out he's being played by Conrad. Ashley calls Nolan to relay word that Declan is being taken to the hospital. Emily arrives to help Jack and Nolan tells Jack he needs to start trusting her.
Emily and Jack arrive at the hospital. While Emily distracts Victoria and Charlie, Jack sneaks into Declan's room dressed as a doctor. Declan tells Jack about Charlie being pregnant.
Emily tells Aiden he should leave and save himself. He wants to bring her and rescue her from this "empty life of vengeance." Reference is made to Jack.
A doctor lets Charlie see Declan. She apologizes to him for listening to Regina and he says he wants them to have the baby.
Emily tells Nolan that Aiden has left. They realize they have no idea where Jack is.
Daniel and Conrad speak inside the rubble of the bomb site. Daniel tells him about their money being gone but Conrad isn't concerned. Daniel says his plan is to leave with Emily and start a new life. Conrad admits he was aware of what the Initiative was planning but was helpless to stop it.
Nolan pays Conrad a visit after he learns he's going to have to have major surgery. Declan wants Nolan to look after Jack if something happens to him.
Emily stops by the Graysons to ask about whether Conrad's party is still taking place given Jack's absence. She and Victoria talk about Daniel and Charlie. There is breaking news that Aiden has been taken into custody as a suspect in both the cyberattack and bombing.
Daniel tells Victoria the Initiative blew up Grayson Global and Conrad was aware it would happen.
Conrad shows up with word his exit polls indicate he's going to win. Victoria challenges with the information he received from Daniel. Conrad says there never really was an "Initiative," just a bunch of businesspeople interested in profiting off of public fear. He tells her was tipped off about the bombing by Helen and decided to take advantage. He thinks they'll be able to triple their previous net worth but she is furious.
Jack drops by the hospital and Nolan hands him a recording. It is Declan thanking Jack for all he's done for him and telling him he loves him. Nolan tells Jack that Declan died in surgery. Jack is adamant the Graysons will pay. Nolan calls Emily and updates her.
Jack confronts Victoria about betraying him. He pulls out a loaded gun and she says "do it. I deserve it." He puts the gun down and says her punishment will be a long, painful life, then implies his husband won't be around for long.
Aiden is being denied access to an attorney.
Nolan is placed under arrest for terrorism.
Victoria tells Charlie how much she loves her, but doesn't tell her about Declan.
Daniel finds Aiden in Emily's home. This leads to a fight that Aiden begins winning rather quickly. He demands Daniel let Emily go tonight. We see Daniel eyeing a gun on the floor.
Emily is denied access to Conrad's party.
The FBI asks Nolan about Carrion. He suggests they look at Edith. Edith has pointed the FBI back towards Nolan. Padma provided testimony that Nolan was an "evil" disciple of David Clarke and a part of the Initiative.
Ashley and Emily speak at the party about Jack coming to kill Conrad. She tells Ashley not to let Conrad take the stage.
Ashley congratulates Conrad on his official victory, telling him to wait on his family before taking the stage. He responds that he has added a moment of silence in his speech and she gives him the go-ahead to take the stage. Daniel arrives and asks Conrad to borrow a shirt. We see there is blood on Daniel's sleeve.
Conrad takes the stage with Daniel. He references Declan's death and attributes that to the absence of his wife and daughter.
There is a knock on Victoria's door. It is Patrick. We don't see his face.
At the last minute Emily stops Jack from shooting Conrad. She tells him that she's Amanda.
