Alison (Kendahl Light) is an overburdened and depressed teenage girl living a monotonous suburban existence. The film has had three titles. It was going to be called Alice in Wonderland when it was planned as a short. Then from 2008 to early 2016 Carrozza called the project and complete film Alison in Wonderland and all the pre-2016 cuts have the Alison in Wonderland title card. In early 2016 Carrozza decided to truncate the title to simply Alison since he thought the film played better with its origin as an Alice in Wonderland adaptation obscured a bit and that it better fit the movie's heavily genre bending nature.
