American Tourists travel to Panama and have a very terrifying experience.
Indigenous is basically your typical "friends go to the jungle" pattern horror film. 6 people dating, so 3 couples bread down to Peru, one of the guys notice that because of the canal, you could theoretically drive from Alaska to the tip of South America, except that there's this darned jungle in the way! So they set out to explore, and wind up finding a beautiful grotto. One couple strays to do the typical horror movie "we're stepping out for whoopie so we can get caught by the monster first" act... and thus begins the typical action. I'll give them credit for a really great makeup department, the creature makeup and fx were great, the acting was really good too for being low budget. I'm not saying it was by any means A BAD movie, it was just A TYPICAL movie. Thus making out COMPLETELY forgettable. I won't be wanting to watch it again in a year or two like most movies, because I won't REMEMBER it! So many other movies did it better, like Relic, and the Ruins. Watch once but as that stinker Gaby Hannah says, "Manage your expectations. "
