- The paths of four dream-chasing college friends cross with an array of colourful characters, from a tough-talking Punjabi female don to a Jugaad Baaz college watchman. Mayhem ensues.
- College. Three of the most important years of your life. Three years of studies (at times) and sheer indulgence. Indulgence in all the little pleasures that a carefree life has to offer. But it isn't always about raging, fuchacha parties, college fests, races, and churning out ways to whack some extra pocket money from your parents. It's sometimes hard, ugly, and complicated, and more so when you really need to gain admission to the coolest college in town and you know you don't deserve it. And to top that, you get yourself involved in the most bizarre situations that could crack you up before you crack them.—Excel Entertainment
- Vikas "Hunny" Gulati and Dilip "Choocha" Singh have been repeatedly failing in their 12th boards for successive years thereby placing doubts if they'd even be able to leave school let alone reach college. Zafar was once the bright student of the prestigious St. Stephens College but is currently a struggling musician owing to his confused relationship with former classmate Neetu who became a lecturer in the same institute. Panditji is the streetsmart watchman of the college who holds the solution to the problems of Hunny, Choocha and Lali and the 5 lives interconnect after Zafar recommends the trio to get in touch with the notorious crime boss Bholi Punjaban so as to accumulate money using Choocha's gift of predicting lottery numbers in his dreams. However, Bholi is unlike any of the troubles the protagonists have ever come across and when nothing goes according to plan, it results in hilarious chaos, nomatter how hapless the situation.—ankit_singh92
- In Delhi, four boys or "Fukrey" (a colloquial Punjabi term for slackers), come together to make easy money. The group includes two school backbench students, Vikas "Hunny" Gulati (Pulkit Samrat) and Dilip "Choocha" Singh (Varun Sharma), who are perpetually dreaming of making it big. Later through a college guard Narayan Pandit "Panditji" (Pankaj Tripathi) they meet Zafar (Ali Fazal), a struggling musician (who is also studying in college while he works on his album), and Lali (Manjot Singh), whose father runs a sweets shop. Lali studies in college via correspondence course & has a girlfriend Shalu (Divya Phadnis) who studies in regular college. She doesn't want Lali to meet her friends as she is ashamed of him.
Hunny & Choocha aspire to go to college & arrange to get their school exam papers 1 day in advance from Pandit for Rs 50,000 per paper. They cannot afford or collect the money required, so they decide to sell the papers to other students but fail there too. Each night Choocha has a dream, which Hunny later interprets as a lottery number, which they buy. They keep playing the small stakes lottery & keep winning each and every time. Hunny likes a girl named Priya from his neighborhood and gradually befriends her.
Lali wants to get into the regular day course at college and needs to score good marks in his 1st year correspondence course. He meets Neetu at a bus station, where he used to pick up Shalu every day to drop her to college. One day, Lali is late and Shalu leaves with her other friends, hurting Lali. Neetu approaches Lali and counsels him. Lali knows Neetu is a teacher and asks her for tuition so he can get into the regular college. Lali starts learning accounting from Neetu (Vishakha Singh), who is Zafar's girlfriend. Neetu breaks up with Zafar as his music career is going nowhere but he refuses to take a steady job for the sake of his relationship with Neetu.
Lali meets Hunny & Choocha & through them approaches Pandit for the 1st year papers. Pandit says that for Rs 2.5 Lakhs he will get Lali a college seat. Lali's dad Billa (Majinder Singh P. Kareer) refuses.
Zafar's dad (S.K. Lalwani) suffers a stroke & he needs Rs 1.5 Lakhs for his treatment. The 4 get together at Pandit's shack where Hunny floats the idea of gathering enough money to invest in the next lottery based on Choocha's dream. Once they win the lottery, they will have enough money to pay for everyone's requirements. They need an investor.
On Zafar's insistence, Pandit is talked into taking them to meet a local gangster, Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadda), where Hunny tells them their scheme. Bholi is a female madame with various illegal businesses including escorting, property eviction & fake bank transactions. Bholi agrees to put up the money when Lali offers to put up his father's shop as security guarantee. Bholi tells them to come the next day with the number. That night Choocha can't go to sleep because of the excitement but makes up a dream the next morning to save himself from Hunny.
The dream is fake & hence Hunny's number is also wrong. Bholi bets Rs 4.4 Lakhs on the number & looses. The group can't pay up, so Bholi gives them 500 ecstasy pills to sell at a rave party at Gurgaon Faridabad border. She keeps Choocha as hostage. Choocha thinks that Bholi has fallen for her.
Hunny gets a girl from his neighborhood Priya (Priya Anand) to accompany him, Lali, and Zafar, so that they can gain access to the party. The party is raided by the narcotics police & the friends get dispersed. Lali escapes with the pills with the police behind him. Hunny tries to seduce Priya, while hiding from the police, & Priya hits him for trying to take advantage of him. Lali & Zafar reach Neetu's house at the same time. Neetu hides the pills & saves them from the police by saying that Lali is her student & Zafar is her fiance. Neetu says that she has flushed the pills. Lali panics as the pills are worth Rs 15 Lakhs. Meanwhile, Zafar tells the whole story to Neetu, and he was thinking that Neetu was falling for him, but she refuses. Zafar also warns him. Lali also calls Choocha, telling him to run from Bholi's house, which he succeeds in doing.
Bholi gets a call from a police inspector (Ajay Trehan) at the raid who informs Bholi that the boys escaped with the drugs. Bholi reveals that the inspector had been tasked to get the drugs from the group in the raid so that she could pressure them for the cash, while having the pills as well. It was Bholi's scheme to scam the boys.
The boys reach Bholi and beg for forgiveness. Bholi gives the boys 24 hours to get Rs 25 Lakhs as payment. The four are fighting at Zafar's place, where Choocha tells them the truth about not seeing the dream. However, he says to them that he slept last night, and he saw a dream. Zafar is not interested, while Lali, Hunny, and Neetu are. Hunny interprets the dream, but they are short of cash even after Neetu is ready to give her savings. However, next morning Lali is able to borrow some money from a homeless man who used to remove parts from Lali's motorcycle. They invest and win a huge amount.
They go to Bholi's house and give her the money. They also strike a deal with her to buy an additional Rs 7 Lakhs worth of ecstasy pills. When Bholi emerges from her bathroom with the pills, the police is waiting for her. Turns out the guys had confessed to the narcotics officer (Anurag Arora) & hatched a plan to arrest Bholi by getting her red handed with the pills. Now with Bholi behind bars, the police pardon the four, and they are free.
Three months later, it is shown that Hunny and Choocha have become rich and are entering the same college on horses as they had planned at the beginning of the film, while Pandit is shocked to see them. Lali is making new girlfriends. Priya reunites with Hunnyy, and Neetu gets engaged to Zafar. Lali, Zafar, Neetu, and Priya are having a good laugh.
