Julius Caesar is dead, but the two men who are now running Ancient Rome can't stand to be around each other. Gaius Octavius (Harry Roebuck) - Julius Caesar's adopted son and chosen heir - is a stressed control freak with zero people skills. Mark Antony (Kazeem Tosin Amore), as charismatic as he is irresponsible, is the popular "man of the people". Rome has run out of money and food is becoming scarce. To make matters worse, Gaius' sister Octavia (Sarah Lambie) - who should be acting the respectful Roman woman - drinks too much, sleeps with other women, and - most scandalous of all - she likes theatre, penning her own play mocking her brother's leadership skills. When the powerful Queen Cleopatra of Egypt (Lara Sawalha) and her handmaiden and confidant, Charmian (Sarah Agha) turn up unexpectedly, Gaius and Mark must scramble to ensure this key alliance remains in place. Rome may not have been built in a day, but this fragile coalition could crumble at any minute.
