A very informative and intriguing series
31 December 2017 | by BryGuySaysHiSee all my reviews

I found this series to be really interesting. If the idea of a small groups of soldiers going behind enemy lines and changing the face of the war sounds interesting to you, then you will enjoy this. The series does a great job at explaining what is going on in the world before it dives into the actual raid. It is still important to have a general understanding of WWII before you watch this though, as you may be a bit lost at times. Each episode is only 23 min long, but it does a great job at being very informative in such a small time-span. The narration is excellent and the re-enactments along with actual footage flow really well together. It also has interviews from soldiers who actually took part in the missions. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough/didn't have more episodes!

Also, if you are going to watch only one episode, the Cockleshell Raiders is by far the best episode.
