ZOMBEAVERS is an action-packed horror/comedy in which a group of college kids staying at a riverside cabin are menaced by a swarm of deadly zombie beavers. A weekend of sex and debauchery soon turns gruesome as the beavers close in on the kids. Riding the line between scary, sexy and funny, the kids are soon fighting for their lives in a desperate attempt to fend off the hoard of beavers that attack them in and around their cabin.Written by
One character mentions the Giardia lamblia parasite, which causes diarrhea and sometimes fever. Giardia was, during the 1970ies, thought to be associated with beavers ("beaver fever"), but no connection with a specific animal has ever been shown. Between infecting hosts - often horses, cows and sheep - Giardia lives for several months in streams, lakes and water pools. See more »
When the girls first arrive at the cabin, just before they go inside, Zoe puts down her little dog, Gosling, and tells him to go play. He runs off to the woods. In the next shot, as they walk in the door, Zoe is carrying Gosling under her arm. See more »
Zoe... I'm sorry I never ate your pussy. I'm gonna go back and eat all of it one day.
It's okay, baby. We're going to get out of here, okay?
It just smells so bad down there...

At the end of the credits, in regards to animal cruelty, the statement reads as follows: "No animals were harmed in the making of this film, although the bear did receive a purple nurple (not our fault, he started it.)" See more »
Well, as soon as I saw Zombeavers advertised on another crappy DVD I had purchased I knew I HAD to watch it. The storyline is predictable, the same as most low budget mutated animal films, but these are MY FAVOURITE KIND OF MOVIES :-) Right from the off you can tell that the film isn't taking itself seriously, which is exactly how these sort of films should be made. The acting is okay-ish, not the worst I have seen by far! The dialogue is actually not that bad either, which makes a change! The effects are my absolute favourite part of this film, they are mainly puppets and they do not heavily rely on irritatingly bad CGI. There is nothing more annoying for me than a film with creature effects that look like a cartoon (Anaconda 3!!!!!), or over use of the same CGI scenes just flipped around (Megashark vs Giant Octopus), so this film took it back to the old school 'horrors'. I love monster movies, I love zombie movies and this really had the best of both worlds. Although I really didn't care for any of the characters because ofc they made stupid decisions, I really enjoyed watching how this film played out. Weirdly, i absolutely did NOT guess where this film was going! It is well worth a watch if you fancy a gory giggle :-) Enjoy!! x
