"Flåklypa Grand Prix" (En. "The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix") from 1975 is my favorite Norwegian movie, and also one of my all time favorite movies. Since I was a kid, I've watched it at least once a year.
"Solan og Ludvig - Jul i Flåklypa" (En. Christmas in Pinchcliffe) can't beat the original from 75, but it's still an amazing movie! Despite the different look, and the fact that there are new voice actors, it feels natural. The characters' personalities are perfectly intact. My favorite character from the original, Ludvig (En. Lambert), is as charming as before, and he's got more screen time this time around, which made me very happy! We're also introduced to some new characters, which are all hilarious!
The humor is right on spot, and the plot is as good as it gets. You will laugh, and you will have a great 1,5 hours! This is absolutely the best Christmas movie I've seen in at least 10 years.
