Moana

Dwayne Johnson will be reprising his role as Maui from Moana (2016) and Moana 2 (2024), marking the first time an actor from a Disney animated film physically portrays that same character in a live-action remake. Four other actors have reprised voices roles in remakes:

• Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger - Christopher Robin (2018)
• Frank Welker as Cave of Wonders - Aladdin (2019)
• James Earl Jones as Mufasa - The Lion King (2019)
• Chris Sanders as Stitch - Lilo & Stitch (2025)
