Incredible. The pre-movie credits are a classy touch, just a few minutes of silence and acknowledgments. Perfect time to get comfy because what follows is brilliant. The plot is captivating, and the acting is superb. After 20 minutes, I was on the edge of my seat. It only gets better. It's not just entertaining; it's an experience. Even Sharknado fans will appreciate the quality here. Words fail me to describe this "film." It's pure gold. If you're looking to enjoy a couple of hours, this is your movie. If Netflix keeps this up, I'm never canceling. If you're looking to enjoy a couple of hours, this is your movie. Utterly a m a z i n g.
Very poor direction, character development is less. Except for 2 actors all others are belonging to one community. For a malayalam film this is a travesty. Still the story is nice, decent attempt. But still its a C grade movie. The lead looks like Prithviraj. Lead actress hardly has any scenes. Few known actors, dunno why they they signed up for this film.
Please keep Logic aside, characters behaviour defies logic, if you are lost in desert you conserve water, if there is a desert storm you cover your head/nose.
The characters seem educated but behaves like they are stupid in crisis.
Locations are nice, good desert scenes hence watch the movie if you have nothing else to watch. Maybe watch this for a perfect example of how a movie should not be made.

I came to know that the film was released only because director called the father of a person who was reviewing the money, there was no promotion at all, there were only 100 people in the theatre, on the fourth day of the film's release. There was no expectation and the same was the case with a 30-40 minutes in the first half of the film, and then it felt a little better, by the time the interval. Then the second half had no words , the making that looked like a Hollywood movie, the scenes, the film that was watched without any expectations and at the end of the day i got to see people standing up and clapping their hands, in a word it was a great film.
Raastha follows a simplistic narrative with a generic first half devoted to establishing the characters and their efforts to find the whereabouts of Shahana's mother, Fathima. It is exactly at the halfway stage that we arrive at the area of conflict-the desert. Faizal, Shahana, Mujeeb and Khalid, an Omani national, get trapped in Rub' al Khali deserts, while on their way to meet a woman suspected to be Shahana's mother.
At the interval point, it is written on screen that Rub' al Khali is one of the world's most dangerous deserts. But the real challenge lies in visually conveying why it is a deadly desert. To be fair, Aneesh Anwar and his team effectively portray the horrors of getting caught in such a situation. The tension building is done gradually by employing wide frames that capture nothing but endless stretches of sand dunes and ominous music.

Absolute waste of money. Don't waste your money. Credits of the movie was literally the best part. The director has also threatened one of the honest movie reviewers with death threats and worse which is available to see on YouTube now. Aneesh Anwar should spare public of such a waste of time and money. He has done absolutely zero research and has just shot the movie using a camera and crew without any thought involved. Lot of scenes where even common sense was lacking. Guess common sense is not so common after all especially when it comes to this director. In short, spend your money somewhere else.
