Rachael Harris and Wilson Cruz were missed opportunities for a much better movie. Miranda Cosgrove's influencer job needed more backstory and her acting needed some help. I wasn't so much a fan of Teale, I didn't find much charisma from him on screen, and the chemistry with him and Cosgrove was dull. Same with Brooke Shields and Benjamin Bratt.
The plot was a story that's been told before with nothing that sets it apart. The tropical background did all the heavy lifting, and again, Harris and Cruz were the standouts (as they usually are in their projects).
I'm really glad to see Brooke Shields back on screen, but this movie was filler. Her other Netflix film, A Castle for Christmas, was delightful but Mother of the Bride has very little in terms of plot, just a really good tropical locale.

The story line was not that great. Benjamin Bratt was great his acting didn't change. However, Brooke Shields was AWEFUL! Her acting was forced and unrealistic and definitely not entertaining.
The supporting characters were more entertaining and if it weren't for them the movie would be a total bust. I like the idea of the story but it truly lacked depth and in Brooke Shields case solid acting. She tried to hard and it didn't work.
The only reason that I am giving this movie a four is because there were more actors and actresses with good acting and moved the story along than not this is for them.

This movie is nothing special one tipical romantic comedy movie that fallows two couple stories that are connected, but it is mostly focused on second chance trope. It has great cast but some dialogues and scenes feel like they were suddenly cut. A lot of different stories were started then cut out of nowhere and where replaced but new/old ones. Too many stories have been started and wanted to tell but none of them have been told properly. There are some cringe dialogues and because of that you cannot feel the chemistry between the actors. The last scene should be done better and in different way.
I thought that Hollywood wasn't doing this anymore, Deep Impact, Armageddon, Dante's Peak, Volcano and I could continue...but I'm just going to make myself clear with just a title "Ticket to paradise". For a moment I was wondering if I already saw this movie...and then I realized that no, it wasn't Brooke Shields but Julia Roberts and not Benjamin Brat but George Clooney, I think you got it.
This movies trying to catch the Mamma Mia vibe are going to fail, particularly because there's no Abba involved, or an original idea for what matters.
I still can't figure out if this was a comedy, because I didn't laugh not even once.
And if by the end credits they were going to "break the 4th wall", why not take advantage of having Brooke Shields and make some Blue Lagoon joke?... Maybe that would have made me chuckle.

There's so many movies out there, that are better then this. That's true. But, I watched more movies that are mutch worse.
The most disappointing thing was, the non sparkling moments between the bride and groom.
I know, that Miranda is a very professional actress. So it wasn't really obvious. But, other couples in this movie show us, what's should be between them.
I don't know why they doesn't change the acter for the groom. Sometimes there's no chemistry between people. And here was it clearly to see.
The jokes wasn't always funny and the writing wasn't so good. The movie shouldn't be produced like this.
Sometimes are small things bad for a movie. And when this small mistakes get too much... And no acter is there to overplayed that, then it's going downward. Sadly to say, it could have been better and it's nothing you had to watch.
