Shot in a traditional Russian style, "The Huntsman" is one of Russia's greatest playwright Anton Chekhov's most well known short story. It is a sad story, yet it gives an insight to what Russian village life was like in the early 1900s. Anya took advantage of George, a huntsman who likes to drink. Fueled by jealousy, anger, and abandonment, Anya knows that George has found a better life outside of the village. She will beg and plea to be with a man she loves the most.
