Good documentary about how we are going about developing AI and the repercussions thereof.

A very good documentary about the development of artificial intelligence and the ramifications it can/will have for society. Good atmosphere and editing with an excellent soundtrack, also some quite humorous moments! I wish they went a little more into the details of how they programmed the robot that they spend a fair amount of time talking to, but considering the short nature of the documentary I can understand that they had to decide to not go into too much of the particulars of how AIs are actually made.

This documentary is more about how we plan to develop AI and what the repercussions of that development will be, both from a philosophical and practical perspective, rather than the details of how they are going about creating said AIs. If you're interested in the subject at all this is a very pleasant 47 minutes to spend on the subject whether you are well versed on the subject or almost completely unfamiliar.

This film is actually available on youtube if you go there and search for Singularity or Bust.
