A decadent start.
The early life of Fleming, what a cracking start to this lavish four part drama. I love James Bond, but know nothing about Ian Fleming. I notice that this is actually based on actual events, one thing is sure from this, Fleming liked to sew his oats.
I'm sure some of it is a little over the top, but it's a fun start. First of all, it looks divine, the costumes, sets and all are deliciously lavish, it looks sublime. Cooper could well have been James Bond himself, he's suave and dashing, very enigmatic. Laura Pulver looks and acts to perfection.
What a guest list, Torrens, Chancellor, West.
Quality viewing, 8/10.
