Goofs

The group, prior to their dissolution was based in Queens, which is on Long Island. As the series shows that New York City is under quarantine, yet no serious efforts are made to isolate the island boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan) from either themselves or apparently much of the outside world. The group travels freely in a stolen vehicle between boroughs with no one apparently stopping nor searching them. See more »

Well done - and faithful to the novels!

I read the trilogy (I recommend to all whether you watch the series or not - very good!) and while reading I couldn't help but imagine what a great trilogy of movies they would make! But a TV series? Even BETTER! There are so many characters in the books and so many parallel story lines that a series is the only way to do justice to the books - and justice they have done so far with episode one! But of course with both Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan directing/producing, what could possibly go wrong!? To whit - nothing! The series is well cast! I love all 3 leads, Eph, Nora and especially - Abraham. And the first episode I found simply riveting! Even though I know how everything ends up, I am going to relish each episode! I won't give out any spoilers here - all I can and will do is assure you if you stick with the series you are in for a helluva ride! As the series True Blood draws to a close this year and thankfully Twilight is concluded, it's high time for a new kind of terrifying vampire - not some handsome man but a scary, deadly, disgusting beast! Oh, I just can't wait!
