Filmmaker Rj Cutler created the series, which is slated to begin in September for a weekly, 10-episode run. In addition to producing the seminal 1993 campaign doc “The War Room,” Cutler won an Emmy for the Fox/PBS docuseries “American High” and directed the 2014 film “If I Stay” with Chloe Grace Moretz. Writer and political reporter Scott Conroy will serve as showrunner.
Each episode of the series will dramatize the week’s political headlines from the perspective of prominent figures within the Trump Administration. No casting has been announced yet,
As the eponymous widows, Davis’ Veronica and her unlikely band of lady friends decide to finish the heist that killed their four husbands, but it’s not just money or revenge that are driving their plan, it’s also just plain old survival, because they’ve got a lot of enemies. Some of those enemies — like a chilling Brian Tyree Henry and a seemingly unruffled Colin Farrell

That's what Camille was told by the figment of her imagination that came to her in the form of her deceased sister Marian at the close of Sharp Objects Season 1 Episode 6.
While it's fair to assume that a lot of what Camille is going through is linked to the scars from the past she's trying to conceal, I think her best bet would be to get the heck out of Wind Gap and take Amma with her.
Amma reeling Camille in and taking at a teenage house party was very awkward, but it put Camille in a mindset in which she got to have fun with her sister.
I'm not condoning the drug taking by any means, but "Cherry" gave us more insight into this fraught relationship, and it was needed. Camille has issues with letting people into her life because of the past,
With only two episodes left in the series, the “Sharp Objects” investigative trio of Camille Preaker (Amy Adams), Richard “Kansas City” Willis (Chris Messina), and Chief Bill Vickery (Matt Craven) hasn’t produced more than one or two bonafide suspects — and that’s just fine. It’s better, even, than the alternative. While last year’s sizzling HBO limited series bounced between potential killers as giddily as Reese Witherspoon dropped expletives, this year’s premium offering isn’t about the mystery; it’s about the women.
Or maybe, it’s about both.
Episode 6, “Cherry,” dwells on issues of identity and control. Camille listened to her former fellow cheerleaders talk about women being “made” to have children and unlocking a “part of your heart” that’s only accessible after giving birth. She heard her sister, Amma (Eliza Scanlen), explain how it’s easy to get boys to
At the end of episode five, Amma ran away from the town's Founder's Day celebration (held at her mother's house, naturally) while on drugs,...
Vallée also spoke about some of his other recurring music choices — including the electronic music quartet the Acid, and the roots-based indie rockers M. Ward and Hurray for the Riff Raff — amid a soundtrack that includes everything from LCD Soundsystem and the War on Drugs to Perry Como and Engelbert Humperdinck.
This might be a bit of a surprise, given that central to the initial introduction of Amma is the fact the young lady moves fast, gliding through the small town of Wind Gap like a rebellious breeze thanks to the wheels on her feet. But if you don’t know much about Scanlen, it might be an even bigger surprise to learn the reason why she hadn’t learned to skate previously: The 19-year-old actress is from Australia.
“It was never common in Sydney,” she said. “I mean, at this time. I used to ice skate at parties when I was eight, but that was sort of the extent of roller skating,
Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
As per all Watchmen castings, no details about the actors’ characters are provided.
Shombing, Spoon and Smith join previously cast Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sara Vickers.
Lindelof, who wrote the script, executive produces the pilot with Nicole Kassell, who directs, Tom Spezialy and Joseph Iberti.
Watchmen is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros Television.
But what series star Chris Messina remembers most about filming the episode was the unrelenting heat.
“You’re in the sun,” he tells TVLine on a recent morning at a café slightly north of Houston Street in New York, “and you’re drinking O’Doul’s, so you’re really bloated and gassy, and you’re going to pass out. That’s when you need to laugh.

This week’s Sharp Objects installment opened with its morphing opening credits turned into an ominous cooing, as if from the lullaby of a captor. And this week was similarly barbarous with its flailing comforts. “Closer”, its chapter title promises, describing both our discovery of the mystery and the shows encroaching brutal intimacy. This is the most contained episode yet, taking place over the course of a single day and mostly set on Eudora estate with all of the players brought together. It’s been a show built on a backbone of knowing glances, and “Closer” stacks several atop one another at once. Everyone has eyes on them, and no one feels fewer than Amy Adams’ Camille...
