Storyline

When Boston lawyer Mary Ross inherits a house in Plymouth from her late aunt, she has no idea she may have inherited a historical treasure. Mary's initial desire to sell the house is supported by her slick boyfriend, Rick, but she is shocked to discover local historian Everett Mather has evidence that her house is located on the site of the first Thanksgiving. With the house turning into an unexpected tourist attraction, putting Mary in the media spotlight at the prying of unscrupulous gossip blogger Ashleigh Mulligan, Everett tries to prove his theory and Mary tries to prove anything that will keep the house in her hands. Suddenly, Mary clings to the house as an artifact of her own history before her happy childhood memories were tarnished by her father's abandonment. Ultimately, Mary must decide if it is more important to preserve the house's historical ties or make it the site of many happy Thanksgivings to come. What will she choose? Written by Happy_Evil_Dude

Trivia

Actress Cerina Vincent noted on the Hallmark Channel's Home & Family (2012) show, that she booked the movie while her broken foot was still in a cast. She had the cast removed and two days later had to film all scenes where she was walking. She had the wardrobe department furnish a larger size boot so her ankle and foot could be well wrapped. Good Thanksgiving Movie
6 November 2015 | by TerryfanSee all my reviews

Hallmark does have a good history of airing original movies that are good. Which is why I like to watch them when I can

The Thanksgiving House is one of those films you can actually sit down and watch to appreciate for it's original plot and acting which is what Hallmark is known to do.

With the cast being: Emily Rose,Justin Bruening,Julia Jones,Lindsay Wagner,Bruce Boxleitner,Cerina Vincent,Adam Kaufman,Jack Scalia each one help tell the story of the movie Emily's performance stands out the most because her character stuck out the most with Justin's performance coming in second. Cerina's character really shows out to be the bad apple in terms

The music was wonderful it was everything you would want in a movie like this and then some I just enjoy the score all together it was peaceful and joyful it set the tone of the movie. The setting is good as well.

Overall I enjoy the story, the acting and the music it just really good to have a Thanksgiving theme movie I give The Thanksgiving House an 8 out of 10
