Summary
Reviewers say 'Influencers' garners mixed feedback, with praise for its engaging pace, humor, and strong performances. The cast is lauded for creating relatable characters, and the show is commended for exploring social media's impact on relationships and fame. However, some find the humor and themes outdated, criticizing it for not evolving beyond its YouTube origins. Despite this, there is enthusiasm for a potential second season among fans.

I happen to come across this series while searching for something funny to watch on Prime, and I am so glad I did!! I binged the entire season in one sitting. From the very first episode until the last there is never a dull moment. The entire cast did such a great job! And it even had small cameos from well known latino influencers (very small). This show is total hit! I have always been a fan of Derbez and was happy to find out he was one of the producers. I was also happy to see Barbara Torres was part of the cast, she is a phenomenal comedian, and I have loved her since Familia Peluche.
BRING ON SEASON 2! I will be anxiously waiting. I hope it gets announced soon.

I'm surprised there aren't more written reviews for this show. It's excellent ! It really moves along at a nice pace with never a dull moment and although I don't speak Spanish fluently I binged all 8 episodes in one sitting even while reading subtitles and they speak fast. The actors are all EXCELLENT ! Paulina, Azul and Hernan are PERFECT ! The story really spoke to me, particularly the way Amanda's character felt about playing second fiddle to Vicky as both of Cesar's daughters AND the struggle to adapt to change while remaining relevant during a "second act" of your life
So maybe there's nothing that particularly new or groundbreaking here but even after I binged the entire season I immediately started looking for the US version (which btw I think would do really well).

I do not know why is it so hard to find Spanish speaking series in Amazon other than the big novela titles . This was a very nice find and only found out about it because I follow one of the actors on IG. I was very pleasantly surprised, it is funny and well crafted. There's enough personal drama and conflict for your mind to nibble on, fleshing out the characters enough for you to find empathy for all of them. There's no clear cut villains, at least not in the first 6 episodes. You can see each character's motivations, all justified. Fame is also parental approval and the desire for long lasting familial love. Social media is just an excuse, these people had issues long before that, social media just exacerbates the problems. It is also very funny and well acted. No regrets here, I'm glad I found this on Amazon.
The discourse that the content we see on social networks (influencers, socialites or celebrities) is false, exaggerated and superficial, for the most part, arrives 10 or 8 years late, as well as several jokes and references that made me think that this program was being written or produced by people quite outdated on the subject of social networks (and to a certain extent I was not wrong) so when I saw the technical sheet here it was obvious to me why this program is made in this way: Jorge Ulloa .
For international viewers Ulloa is a director/writer/producer/actor on a YouTube channel called "EnchufeTV" that has existed for more than a decade that has had a good level of success on the platform, but time has passed and the formula What made them popular hasn't changed in the slightest, maybe it doesn't sound like a bad thing, some of their videos manage to get more than a million views. But for an international job he should have made a greater effort to leave his zone of conformity and dare to give a new point of view on social networks and how ephemeral fame/popularity is for a content creator but that does not happen all. Over time you will feel like you are watching a video from their YouTube channel: the same lighting, sequences, humor, etc.
This translates into a simple story, one-dimensional characters, cliques and unlikely situations that are not funny. Unfortunately, Ulloa remains stuck in his humor from more than a decade ago with no interest in getting out of it, so this is more than a story of fiction about a stagnant influencer we are seeing a stagnant content creator who wastes his opportunity on a large streaming platform.
