    Meaningful cinema with realistic representation

The Diplomate movie is a breath of relief for bollywood and audiance (with brain of course).

The whole non-twisted presentation of a true story with occasional attempts of creating goosebumps is very appreciable to me.

The non- grand masala formula is justified to yield a meaning ful cinema to the viewers.

Acting is okay. Direction is also adequate.

The cinematography and Editing is approximately working for the motive of storytelling.

Thar patriotic song are good. Background music is being beautifully used giving sound experience of exact narration of intensity and sincerity of the scenes. Without torturing your ears!

I would like to recommend this movie.

A Holi surprise from John, icing on cake is its true story

An exceptionally well-crafted political thriller! Knowing it was based on true events made it even more compelling. I watched it with my family after playing Holi, and it was an absolute masterpiece.

John Abraham delivers a power-packed performance, proving he's more than just an action star. This film has no over-the-top action, no formulaic romance, no unnecessary song-and-dance sequences-just a raw, intelligent narrative that keeps you hooked. The subtlety in its storytelling and the symbolic references elevate it to another level, making it perfect for a family audience.

The film was made on a budget of around INR 50 crores, and I sincerely hope audiences help it recover its cost. It's crucial that we, as viewers, support such out-of-the-box movies so that more meaningful cinema gets made. This isn't propaganda; it's a retelling of real events, backed by archival footage. The truth deserves to be seen, and this film ensures it is. Highly recommended!

    A Top Notch Political Thriller

The Diplomat is a no nonsense political thriller that perfectly demonstrates how to keep the audience (At least those who turn up for the movie) hooked to the screen with a tense story and crisp screenplay supported very well with honest performances by talented actors.

John Abraham does a pretty good job as the titular smart and decisive Indian diplomat, even though his built perhaps makes him look a bit out of place as the calm protagonist. Sadia Khateeb is exceptional as the Indian woman tricked into an unwilling and abusive marriage in Pakistan. She balances the fragility and strength of her character very well and gives a great performance. Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi and even the antagonists portrayed by Ashwath Bhatt and Jagjeet Sandhu do a justice to their respective roles. Revathy is good in her small but impactful role.

Shivam Nair truly delivers a cracker of a political thriller after directing tense spy thrillers like Naam Shabana, Special Ops and Mukhbir. The Diplomat is definitely close to the quality and thrills of his earlier work and a step up as far as his previous silver screen outings are concerned. Many may wait for the movie to land on OTT in a couple of month's time but if we want more cinema of this level of quality and genre then we should support it more in theater. Hopefully its target audience will not betray it at the box office. A top notch solid thriller. 8/10.

    Bollywood is changing

If we want to do a revolutionary change in the bollywood we gotta support good movies.

    Highly recommended this one!

Otherwise movies like Pushpa 2 only will earn profit and we'll be responsible for the bad condition of indian movies.

Fantastic Portrayed the Real Story of a brave girl... John Abraham as expected performed one level up from his last and no one could have done his part better then him.

The Diplomat is a gripping political thriller that stands out for its realism and grounded storytelling. Based on a true story, the film does not rely on over-the-top action sequences or exaggerated drama, making it a refreshing change from the usual high-octane blockbusters in theaters today.

    Outstanding

"I just watched The Diplomat and I'm still reeling from the experience! The film is a masterclass in storytelling, with a narrative that's both thought-provoking and emotionally resonant.

The performances are top-notch, with Abraham delivering a career-best turn. The supporting cast is equally impressive, bringing depth and nuance to their respective roles.

The cinematography is stunning, with breathtaking visuals that transport you to another world. The score perfectly complements the on-screen action, elevating the overall impact of the film.

Abraham's performance singled out for acclaim.

Overall, is a must-see movie experience. Don't miss out on this cinematic gem!

The Diplomat is perhaps the 2nd Bollywood Movie of its kind after Ulajh that deals with intrigues of Diplomacy, Foreign Policy, Strategic Affairs and International Relations as a composite unit making it Primary Theme. This definitely opens new Vista of Celluloid Experiment in India which has larger possibility to enhance in the days ahead-ShibdasBhattacharjee.
