Not Exactly History
20 March 2016 | by jlthornb51See all my reviews

At least, it's interesting although inaccurate. If accurate historical depictions are significant to the view, best to avoid this thing entirely. The "Angel of Mons" WWI episode was especially egregious in recreating the event with German soldiers wearing British uniforms and ending with what looked like the English riddled with arrows. Nothing else shown was accurate either but the story told by "The Folklorist" himself was fairly well done. However, when so much detail is ignored during production, it is hard to be credible about any of the program. If you have any familiarity with historical events, this is more evidence of the "dumbing down" of American's knowledge of their heritage and world history in particular. The score is a 2 because a minimal effort has been made to teach and entertain.
