There are several references to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart:

1. Waltin (played by Jonas Karlsson) at one point compares himself to the composer: "Mozart, that was a talented man. Always hunted and questioned by less talented men."

2. When the Palme couple enters the cinema posters for Amadeus (1984) are seen.

3. The film the Palme couple in fact watched on the night of his death was Bröderna Mozart (1986) (The Mozart Brothers) - a film which Olof Palme was offered a role in as head of the royal opera house in Stockholm but declined. Posters for this film are seen outside the cinema too.
