Delightfully deranged Christmas special
'Minstrel Krampus' is part musical and part Christmas satire; and it works on both fronts. Steve's a self-centered snot and needs to be taught a serious lesson. Enter Krampus, the yin to Santa's yang, professional punisher of wayward jerkass kids. He comes across as a riff on Oogie Boogie from "the Nightmare Before Christmas", and his song is y personal favorite.
The special reaches another level entirely when Stan recruits Santa to rescue Steve (*in a cleaver - and nasty - assault on the castle). Both Krampus and Kris Kringle are large enough personalities to carry this thing, but it's Stand's dad I actually wanted to see more of. Jack's just as dim as Stan but slightly more demented. The guy's a scream.
8/10
