Artie is expecting the Regents to come down on him hard but to his surprise they feel the best thing for everyone is to let him go back to work. But Artie doesn't accept it. He sends Pete and Claudia to Oregon when a man is found stuck in the ground. They learn that the man was in telecommunications and was planning to cut down some trees for his cell towers. And a group of environmentalists are trying to stop him. They think one of them may have gone too far so they talk to the leader a woman but when she hears the man is dead she freaks out. Artie tries to put things in order at the Warehouse and Myka and Jinks try to help him.

Pete mentions that the phrase "in wildness is the preservation of the world", written on a wall inside the burnt shack, is, among other things, lyrics to "an awesome Metallica song". The "awesome Metallica song" is none other than "Of Wolf And Man", the 9th track of the band's best-selling album, "Metallica", which was unofficially titled "The Black Album" (1991). See more
