Whilst Brian faces disciplinary action for a death in custody from his past the rest of the team discover the gun that killed drug-trafficker Christian Highsmith in 1998. The same gun killed a young boy, Danny Bossano, in 1982 in Gibraltar, a port of call for the ships on which Christian allegedly hid the drugs. The UCOS team go to Gibraltar to meet Superintendent Cruz, the local cold case chief, who believes Danny was part of the dope-smuggling gang. The fact that the gun was army issue also leads to the evasive commander Adam Sinclair whilst Sandra quizzes casino owner Harry Truman, who had been a friend of Christian. Gerry and Steve visit Truman's casino but accidentally get locked in a shipping container whilst shipping agent Gordon Fletcher, an associate of Truman, is found dead.—don @ minifie-1

After a pistol is found on a riverbank, it's tied to the 1998 unsolved murder of Christian Highsmith. Highsmith and his sister Laura ran a container shipping firm and it was believed that he used the containers to transport narcotics. The pistol has also been matched to the murder of a 12 year-old boy in Gibraltar, Danny Bossano. The pistol was Argentinian in origin and widely used in the Falklands war - also becoming a favored war trophy for British soldiers. Sandra, Gerry and Steve head to Gibraltar and learn that Bossano may have worked as a lookout for the drug smugglers. Brian meanwhile has one last chance to redeem his self-respect and get the true facts revealed on the death in the cells of a prisoner he was responsible for. Sandra is none too happy when he shows up in Gibraltar but rather than return home as ordered, he and Gerry get themselves locked in a shipping container.—garykmcd
