Goofs
During Rey's lightsaber duel with Kylo Ren, a few shots after Rey does the flip and slices the tree branch, there's a long shot of them in the forest as they're both moving past very distinctive fallen trees around them, and after a few closeups as Kylo keeps advancing on Rey, at the start of the next long shot (right before the chasm first appears behind Rey) they're back to being where they were in the previous long shot. Quotes
[first lines]
Lor San Tekka:
This will begin to make things right. I've traveled too far and seen too much to ignore the despair in the galaxy. Without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force.
Poe Dameron:

Lor San Tekka:
Oh, the General? To me, she is royalty.
Poe Dameron:
Well, she certainly is that.

I am not the world's biggest Star Wars fan, but I have watched the old episode 6 (and the 2 before it). Star Wars: The Force Awakens is number 7, but in number 6 Leia, Luke and her resistance rebels were victorious. In this film they are again rebels and just have one base again and so forth. What is going on here?
The scenes are borrowed, but the acting is inferior also.
I am writing this and becoming confused. What happened?
