Sam Puckett has been touring the West Coast by motorcycle, and stops in Los Angeles. She witnesses Cat Valentine being thrown into the back of a garbage truck, and rescues her. They become friends, and Cat convinces her to become roommates after Cat's grandmother moves to a retirement home. To make money, rather than getting traditional after school jobs, they form an after-school babysitting business that leads them into a series of comical adventures. Also involved in their lives are Dice, their next door neighbor, who is notorious for aiding people for money, Cat's cheerful and supportive grandmother, Nona, who decided to move into "Elderly Acres", which is a home for the aged, and Goomer, a dim-witted professional MMA fighter whom Dice manages. Nick's savior has finally arrived! Hallelujah!
9 June 2013 | by Bambifan101-4See all my reviews

This show is the long awaited (it was announced in early August last year, on August 3) crossover of two of the last good shows Nick ever had. The show features the most popular characters from iCarly and Victorious, and their adventures as roommates and baby-sitting partners. I don't know how it did viewer-wise, but it premiered at the same time as the Disney Channel hit sitcom Good Luck Charlie (I watched that show's new episode today). So far we don't know if Sam is still in school or not, but it might already be summer in Seattle or maybe she's on spring break or something! I don't know the different of time between there and L.A. (where Victorious takes place), but these are two guesses of mine that might (or might not) make sense. Also, the show doesn't actually seem like a Jessie clone if you ask me. I mean, their baby-sitting, but their not nannies and they certainly don't live in New York! Besides, doesn't the plot of Jessie seem like it could be considered a Mary Poppins clone anyway? Those kids ran out their last nanny, she's the new nanny, she's older than them, they learn from her and she learns from them, etc. etc. Another thing: people have been saying this show needs a reality check. Well, then, what about Disney's shows? Shows like A.N.T. Farm and Austin & Ally aren't too realistic either, do wizards really exist let alone live in Waverly Place in New York? I could go on and on here but I think you get the point. P.S. another film commonly criticized for lack of realism is about a talking pig who made it big! (That's Gordy!) Gordy's on Netflix.

EDIT ON September 16: I'm EXTREMELY disappointed to see this show get negative reviews! Like I said it doesn't HAVE to be completely realistic. I mean, did you notice a pattern on the endings for Good Luck Charlie? A good or even GREAT show CAN be a little unrealistic. However if this is not your cup of tea I'd suggest waiting until September 15 when Disney Channel's Liv and Maddie starts to watch a show! I believe that will be the last good show Disney will ever make. And when Good Luck Charlie ends it will also be the only one worth watching besides A.N.T. Farm. Yes, I like A.N.T. Farm too. It's more mature and funny than the other shows save Good Luck Charlie. But it will have competition from Liv and Maddie. Nick meanwhile was extremely stupid and canceled almost all of the good shows they ever had, and gave us retarded junk like Bucket & Skinner and Marvin Marvin. Now that Victorious and iCarly are over, Sam & Cat is the only beacon of hope left. Besides reruns of classic SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents that is. T.U.F.F. Puppy is probably about to end too and it probably won't even get a proper ending. Did you know that The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was originally going to be SpongeBob's finale. They should have ended it there. But instead they decided to hire new writers and make retarded episodes with gross-out gags that make the show look bad. Now there's at least HALF as many BAD episodes as there are GOOD episodes. Same thing later happened with The Fairly OddParents. Honestly, SpongeBob may actually end soon. Because if it doesn't, it will only get worse. And I for one cannot IMAGINE a worse episode than The Battle of Bikini Bottom. (and no, not even The Splinter can top that episode for worst and most disgusting episode ever. Neither can Pet or Pets, House Fancy, Squid Baby, Restraining SpongeBob, or The Gift of Gum. Though I'll admit these episodes all come close. Very very close. OK time to wrap this up so TL;DR Sam & Cat is the only good show on Nick now. If they cancel it, they will never redeem themselves.
