Storyline

Miles, Charlie, Danny, Nora, Rachel and Aaron manage to escape from Monroes compound relatively unscathed. Rachel realizes what she's done by building an amplifier for Monroe and wants to set things right. She and Miles set off to find one of her former colleagues, John, who should have weapons they can use. It doesn't quite go as planned. The rest of the group join Nora's rebel troop and prepare for an attack from the helicopters. They know they have only a small chance of stopping the helicopters but knowing another rebel camp has been completely destroyed, they decide to make a final stand. Miles and Rachel return in time to help but the group suffers a terrible loss. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

The show has made several references to the Stephen King novel "The Stand." The character of Randall Flynn is named after the book's main villain, Randall Flagg. In one episode, Miles used the names Stu Redman and Frannie Goldsmith as aliases for him and Charlie, both of which are characters in the book. And the eleventh episode of the first season was named "The Stand." Also in that episode, something called "the Tower" is mentioned, which could be a reference to King's "Dark Tower" series. Goofs

A helicopter finally fires a rocket and it knocks down Miles. Both helicopters then cease firing while others on the ground tend to Miles. In reality, rockets would have been used earlier and both would have pressed the attack once Miles was down. See more »
