In exchange for five (5) months rent, Linda and kids agree to pose as the Fischoeder family so Shelby can wreck it... and Calvin can get some "wabba wabba." Fisch Dad gives arcade tickets in the category of best performance by child actor as Bob is relegated to the kitchen to cook dinner. Louise is figuratively racking up tickets. Trivia

There are several references to The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945): in Dorian Gray, the title character never ages but his portrait instead ages and decays to reflect his wickedness and corrupt life. Likewise, at the end of this episode, Louise proclaims, while pointing at the 'family' portrait: "Now this portrait will grow old for me and I'll stay 9 forever." Also, early in the episode, when Bob claims Thanksgiving is the family's favorite holiday, the family rattles off a list of other days that are more important than Thanksgiving; among them, Louise says "Angela Lansbury's birthday!" Angela Lansbury - who starred in the 1945 film of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" - was born on October 16, 1925. Coincidentally, October 16th (1854) was also the birthday of Oscar Wilde, the author of "The Picture of Dorian Gray". See more »
