There are several references to The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945): in Dorian Gray, the title character never ages but his portrait instead ages and decays to reflect his wickedness and corrupt life. Likewise, at the end of this episode, Louise proclaims, while pointing at the 'family' portrait: "Now this portrait will grow old for me and I'll stay 9 forever." Angela Lansbury - who starred in the 1945 film of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" - was born on October 16, 1925.
