Goofs

A recurring plot point is the tension between hospital administrator Ragosa and doctor TC. In fact, no hospital administrator would work from 7 PM to 7 AM as shown. Administrators interface between the medical staff and the hospital board, and a board also does not work overnight. A similar error takes place with a psychiatrist that works the same hours. A position of that nature would be on-call in the event they were needed. This was proved true when beginning in Season 2 neither position was shown as working the night shift. See more »

Best new show of 2014
13 July 2014 | by escherdonnaSee all my reviews

I look forward to viewing the summer shows but Night Shift is the BEST new show I have seen in years. I hope the NBC has the good sense to bring it back for a full season!!! The characters are rich and well developed. The plot lines are excellent and the writing is superb. Having worked the night shift in a hospital years ago I can appreciate the various trials the staff has to endure such as shortage of staff, equipment, etc, but even to the layman this show has everything to offer with the story lines, suspense, a little romance, the hesitation of new doctors trying to care for their patient's with as much expertise as their limited experience allows and glimpses into the past of some of the doctors that contribute to the people they are currently.
