Storyline
Plot Summary |
There's something wrong with the small early-1960s town of Derry, Maine, as a spate of violence, murder, and unaccountable child disappearances terrorise the otherwise peaceful community. Against the backdrop of rampant fear and the recent death of the innocent six-year-old, Georgie Denbrough, the band of pre-teen school pariahs, or The Losers' Club--Georgie's older brother, Bill; the asthmatic, Eddie Kaspbrak; the bullied newcomer, Ben Hanscom; the abused, Beverly Marsh; the humorous, Richie Tozier, and the boy scout, Stanley Uris--summon up the courage to confront their deepest childhood fears, and the unknown but evil clown-like shape-shifter who lives in their grim visions. However, is the nightmarish creature, indeed, a living being, an otherworldly entity, or a malevolent demon from the pits of Hell? Either way, the nameless thing that horrifies Derry needs to feed, and the young team of friends seem to be no match for him. Can they confront IT? Written by Nick Riganas |

Did You Know?
Trivia | According to Emily Perkins (young Beverly Marsh), the remaining Losers (Jonathan, Brandon, Adam, Seth, Ben, and Marlon) were in Jonathan's trailer, reading the script and the novel. When Emily entered to rehearse with them, they revealed to her that her character, Beverly, has sex with all the boys in the sewers within the novel, which resulted in Emily being embarrassed. Goofs | (at around 49 mins) During Eddie's flashback scene, when he and the other Losers arrive at his house he tells them, "I wish this summer would never end; it's the best summer of my whole life," just before his mother comes out. His mother then tells him she doesn't want him to take gym in school that week. If it was summer vacation he would not have had school that week, yet the kids are shown in school repeatedly.
