Storyline

Plot Summary

In the hermetic landscape of the untouched monastic state of Mount Athos, there's been no change since Byzantine times. Neritan Zinxhiria uses some of the 3000 preserved photographic plates made by one of the monks 90 years ago, as well as his own new Super 8 recordings, to bring the past back to ghostly, languid and intangible life. A meditative journey through space and time, all in stunning black-and-white. Written by IFFR
