Disconnect: The Wedding Planner

I am so proud of this movie, I couldn't avoid smiling all through while seeing the scriptwriter clearly depict life in Nairobi (spoiler - if you're not familiar with Nairobian culture, you might not like it so much simply because you won't resonate). While watching, I could see stuff and tell myself, 'Yeah, I have experienced that...'; the police officers, the fear of loving, the heartbreak sex... All I can say is that, we finally have a movie that is originally ours, even though it incorporates Nigerians, it still doesn't fail to bring out the Kenyan oomph. Oh, and I loved seeing Kenyan brands on screen too, felt great seeing that local brands are recognizing and teaming up with local talent to produce gold I want more from you guys!!!
