The journey takes unexpected consequences when temporary attraction, anxiety, loneliness and unfamiliar grounds forces Joanna and Erik to learn who they really are. Throughout their journey in Thailand we sporadically flashback into the beginning of Erik and Joanna's life in New York to learn who they are - each time we reveal a moment further back in time leading up to the first time they met.Written by
The opening of the film originally included the characters arrival in Thailand. 6 scenes in total was cut. The director wanted to enhance the story and not reveal how many days the characters had been in Thailand. The opening shot of the film was one of the most expensive shots of the production and included a special car mount and police escort through Bangkok, Thailand. Parts of the very first scene can be seen exclusively on the web site. See more »

This is an excellent indie adventure drama. The execution of this low budget independent film is very impressive. The script is very solid and the dialogue is real not only because of the writing but because of the cast and direction.
Although it starts of slow and I recommend this film to an indie lover who has not had two glasses of wine before watching, it truly builds more and more and 35 min in, I love the main character and the journey that has begun in Thailand.
The other characters, the backpackers are introduced midway and adds a lot to the pacing of the film.
After finishing it I was left with both emotions and relief.
I highly recommend this film to any art house, indie film lovers also people who like ultra realism in acting and a thought through screenplay. Not too much action I'd say more feeling than through for your mind!
