Procession du tapis sacré (1897)
This Lumiere Brothers film is once again set in Egypt as we see some sort of procession through the streets. I'm going to guess that it was either someone important or at least someone rich as this here is a lot different than some of the other funeral processions that were filmed by the company. The ones in the streets with normal people were a lot more chaotic. This one here has the camera right by the street so we get a lot of nice action of the people going by. Obviously this film didn't change film history in any way but it still captures a certain point in time that is fascinating to watch today.
