Kim the medium repackages every discovery she makes to suit a "feel-good" narrative for the celebrity. Every time a celebrity recounts a story to her about the ghosts or spirits they witnessed, far from their home---typically while on location or vacation---Kim starts intuitively picking up things about the actor's life. She then invariably tells them that the ghost wasn't a negative entity but was their dead relative, magically there to "protect them" or rescue them from a bad situation in their personal lives. Highly implausible, as the two aren't related, especially when the celebrity has recounted a very scary story with a dark entity acting ill-will towards them. (This has been the case with Bernie Kopell and Carnie Wilson, among others.) A dead relative's ghost would be encountered in one's home, not on location.
