Acedia is set on a country estate where six priests are sent to rid a teenage girl of demons. While waiting for the ritualistic tenth hour, the priests start to uncover demons of their own as well as the dark secrets that haunt the estate. A small box created from wood made from Noah's Ark can make wishes come true. Once the wish is granted the souls are trapped in the dark corners of hell. Written by Joe Ciminera
Another classic tale of selling your soul to the devil but this time this film is done in a very clever way. Several exhilarating milestones are achieved in Acedia, an excellent film version of Joe Ciminera's diabolical chilling imagination. So long as there are men in power who are still fuzzy on the definition of power this film will delight.I liked this one. There are some scary parts. This reviewer watches a lot of films. And for some reason no one likes to turn the light on when they enter a room. But it has a good plot.I am a huge fan of horror movies - and have to say it's been awhile since I've seen one that has creeped me out - was afraid to go home to an empty house after watching this one. Had me hooked from the beginning. I would see it again
