- As New Directions regroups after Sectionals, Finn ponders his future with the club. Meanwhile, Kurt gets a shot at redemption with a second audition.
- Open just after Marley fainted on stage. The team rushes to her side in the choir room. Sue walks in holding a copy of the rulebook and tells them since they vacated the stage, the Warblers have been crowned sectional champions.
Kurt's NYADA audition is coming up and he tells Rachel he thinks he has one shot at impressing Carmen Tibideaux. Rachel is hoping for a winter showcase "golden ticket," but knows they rarely go to freshman. Only ten students are invited to perform, each one given a handwritten invite by Carmen. We see what looks like Rachel getting a golden ticket.
Sue is moving the Cheerios into the Glee club room, including taking possession of all their trophies. When Finn tries to stop her from taking the national championship trophy.
Figgins tells Will and Finn there is nowhere for Glee to rehearse. Sue thinks they must shut the program down.
Sue tells Becky that finally shutting down Glee club is giving her a sense of emptiness. She's feels slightly guilty and is looking for a sign she did the right thing. The Glee piano player comes in and thanks her.
Finn tells the kids there will be no more Glee until September. Finn tells them they should focus all their efforts on the holiday concert, in case it turns out to be their swan song. Some of the kids say it will be hard to get motivated and Sam asks what the seniors are going to do.
Sam and Brittany talk about how much they "get" each other. He wants to do a love song with her. They sing "Something Stupid," a duet originally performed by Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra. Sam tries to kiss her afterwards but Brittany won't do it. She's worried what the world's lesbians would do to him. He tries again but she says "I just can't."
Cassandra seems to be turning up the heat on Rachel in class, assuring her she's got no shot to win the showcase. She asks Rachel to prove to her she's actually improved and they perform "All That Jazz," the opening number from Chicago (2002). Afterwards, Rachel admits she's not the dancer Cassandra is, but says she thinks she's a better singer. She thanks Cassandra for reminding her the only way she can win the showcase is with her voice.
Kurt pays Carmen a visit. She's reviewed his video audition and says she doesn't think anything has changed -- he still doesn't have the depth and vulnerability NYADA is looking for. She says students only get a second chance on her terms.
As seniors needed a way to compete, Artie joins the marching band, while Blaine and Tina are now Cheerios. Ryder and Jake are on the basketball team and Unique is playing floor hockey. They tell Finn they've moved on and he's upset how quickly they left Glee. He reserved a short block of audition time and expects them to show up.
Brittany asks Sam to a date, which happens to be during the same time as rehearsal. They kiss.
Carmen opens the Winter Showcase. Backstage Brody tries to give Rachel a quick pep-talk, but she seems to feel very confident. Rachel takes the stage and sings Barbra Streisand's "Being Good Isn't Good Enough." It brings the crowd to its feet and they asks for an encore. She follows up with "Oh Holy Night." During the song, we see images of Finn packing up all of Glee's memorabilia and trophies. Carmen compliments Rachel's performance, then asks a stunned Kurt if he'd like to perform after the break.
Backstage, Kurt is panicking. Rachel tells him this is his second chance, to see how he performs under pressure. Rachel thinks he should sing "Being Alive" from Company (2011). The crowd loves it.
Rachel calls Finn. She tells him she won the showcase. He's happy for her but down about the Glee club. She assures him the most important thing is the love of the music. She wants him to make sure he doesn't let the kids give up on their dreams.
Finn shows up for rehearsal. Marley shows up first and tells him she doesn't think anybody is showing up. She thinks she's found a place for Glee to practice.
Finn sends the kids an email telling them about the new rehearsal site and asking them not to give up.
Finn and Marley wait at the outdoor location but nobody shows up. They begin to sing Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" by themselves and gradually the rest of the kids start trickling in and joining the song.
Kurt has been accepted into NYADA.
