Susan speaks to a man who claims he is the suspect's psychiatrist and to whom she unwittingly gives her reasons for seeing him. She is lucky to escape and soon realises she has met the murderer but when the police are called to the house he has vanished. She visits Cavendish for more information, only to find that he too has been killed but when she takes her findings to Wainwright he is again dismissive. Research leads the women to find that the serial killer's first victim was Julie Oakwood during the war, and from the leads this gives, Susan makes a final journey to unmask the culprit. Very Entertaining Although the Characters Are Reckless
14 July 2017 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

The burden that trumps everything in this series is the secrecy of what the women did in the war. They were sworn to secrecy. The only place they can speak truthfully is with peers. Otherwise it would be treasonous. In the third and final episode we are introduced to the madman, psychotic killer. Susan gets into places no one else has managed. Her actions prove dangerous to her group and deadly to one of the men who aids them. I used the term reckless because Susan has ventured into places alone which make her actions really scary. She is no hero in her regular life (not in the sense of facing death) and so when she acts it's often without much thought for herself (but it should be). All in all, I was really pleased with this little series and will watch the second one to see how it goes. The characters are unique and real and have some real adversaries who put spice into the show.
