"The Voice" - Quarterfinals, Results - April 17, 2012

Carson explains how it will all work: America will save one person from both Team Christina and Team Blake. The two remaining contestants will sing for their lives and their respective coaches will decide which person will advance.

Performance: British boy band the Wanted performs "Chasing the Sun" with Team Blake

The coaches and Carson talk about last night's instant eliminations with Blake and Christina defending their choices. Christina babbles for a long time about how her fearlessness is unassailable.

Results: America has saved Chris Mann from Team Christina which means Lindsey Pavao and Ashley De La Rosa will sing for their lives. America has saved Jermaine Paul from Team Blake which means RaeLynn and Erin Willett will sing for their lives.

Performances:

Ashley De La Rosa sings "You and I" by Lady Gaga. She sounds good but the slow tempo never really allows her to break out. Adam likes her but was underwhelmed. Blake is already ready to pick Ashley over Lindsey.

Lindsey Pavao sings "Please Don't Go" by Mike Posner. It's a quiet piano ballad that suits her girlish voice. She cries at the end. It's fine but no knockout. Christina tears up. Cee Lo thinks she's wonderful and endearing. Blake sticks with Ashley. When it comes to decision time Christina gets emotional again and talks about how much she loves them both but she goes with Lindsey.

Justin Bieber arrives to bask in the screams of the audience and tease the world premiere of a clip from his new video for "Boyfriend."

Performances:

Erin Willett sings "Proud Mary" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It is sassy and well sung. Christina loved her spirit and energy.

RaeLynn sings "If I Die Young," by the Band Perry. She pours on the twang but still has some breath control issues and a couple of pitch problems. It's kind of meh. Adam says he was a fan and thinks he would've curbed the inflection and it wasn't his favorite personally. Blake chooses Erin.
