  • Much darker than the previous two films, and this is by far the darkest entry in the "How to Train Your Dragon" franchise.

  • Grimmel falls from a great height into water, he is not seen again after this and can be presumed to have died.

  • People seemed to drink beer or alcohol during eating.
  • Gimmel (the main villain) injects dragons with poison darts which makes them not be able to think for themselves. He also says the word: drugged

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This film, like the previous, is full of emotionally intense scenes especially in its conclusion. These scenes are likely to make audience members cry.
  • Multiple dragons are seen to be shot by poisonous darts.
  • Toothless and Hiccup both fall from great heights and neither can fly.
