Storyline

Empowered by love and determined to move in with her long-distance boyfriend, Zoe, a kind 24-year-old deaf woman, plucks up her courage for a one-way trip across the vast and desolate American Southwest, eager for a fresh start. Unfortunately though, while on her way, Zoe will encounter a band of sadistic white supremacists who will capture and torture her, and when they ultimately have their way with her, leave her for dead in a shallow grave. But there, in the serene and barren desert of New Mexico, a wise Native American Shaman who will salvage the unfortunate woman, will attempt to perform an ancient ritual of resurrection, unbeknownst to him that the impatient wandering spirits of the dead Apaches always crave for revenge. As a result, a betrayed entity will creep into Zoe, anointing her a vessel of retribution who will pitilessly weed out one by one all those who wronged her. Now, Zoe is unstoppable. Fantastic Movie Reguardless of Budget, Solid to it's Core
8 April 2014 | by jmigoyaSee all my reviews

To say that I was impressed by this movie is an understatement, in a time where $200 million film production budget can equate to a steaming pile of dung, this movie proves that a budget like that can be better employed to make over 500 quality films like this one, I have no idea what there budget was so I might be completely off, this movie lacks the refined color filters of your typical Hollywood films but after a few minutes you get used to the look, it starts off looking like a typical revenge type movie, which I do like to begin with, any thing from Death Wish to I spit on your grave, revenge & vigilante flick are awesome if done right, this falls under the I spit on your grave variety but with a major twist, not going to spoil it for anyone, I never saw the trailer but if you do you'll see it's a supernatural horror movie along with all those elements I mentioned which are all showed in the trailer, the gore is phenomenal they use digital and classic latex make up effects which I love, some of the gore is over the top and I loved every minute of it, make sure you see the uncut version because the version I saw was labeled uncut so not sure if there are different cuts, BTW I had nothing to do with this movie, in fact never even heard about it till today, I say this because some people are quick to say "Oh this reviewer gave it a 10 because they were probably a part of the production team" that's not me I give this movie a 10 because it deserves it right now as I review it, it has a 5.6 score which seems low based on the movie I just saw, but that's the beauty of taste were free to express our opinions and from now on this production and director team are on my radar, the actors were outstanding, seriously the only person I recognized in this movie was the sheriff and the was it, great movie, well deserved 10 rating
