Storyline
2012. Sevilla, Andalusia (south to Spain). El Culebra and El Cabesa are two longtime friends in eternal tracksuits without success and luck in life. Close to their 30s and living as blue-collar and six-penny pickpockets, they decide for committing their biggest sting: to assault a bank and escape to Brasil with the money, imitating the same events starred in 1989 by the famous Spanish ex security guard and later thief Dionisio Rodríguez Martín 'El Dioni'. Therefore, the theoretically easy robbery complicates in the moment to do it after the apparition in the bank of Fermín, a businessman and CEO in his 50s full of explosives who threatens with immolate himself, and that he claims the arrival of TV cameras to attract attention about his delicate economic situation. Out of the bank, the cops surrounds it to prevent any escape, causing that the only one solution for El Culebra and El Cabesa be to make stronger inside the bank, turning an easy assault in a complete kidnapping including hostages and explosives. From this moment ahead, the cops will try end the situation at any cost, but none of them count with the presence of a TV news female reporter between the hostages. Secretly she gets to make a live connection to the public eye to reveal all happens in the bank, turning unwittingly the kidnapping in a circus for the media, and El Culebra and El Cabesa in improvised heroes and Fermín's defenders. It causes that the hostages be divided between to escape for back to their homes and stand in the bank until Fermín's situation be repaired. According time goes by, and despite all efforts by the cops to make a deal to end the kidnapping, the tension inside and outside the bank get high, causing that the robbery finally escape to any control. —Chockys

Bustling and amusing comedy about a pair of unlucky thieves carry out a heist with unexpected consequences
Sevilla 2012 , Barrio Triana . The Culebra (Alberto López) and the Cabeza (Alfonso Sanchez) , two tiny crooks at their thirties , decide to execute their great goal : to rob the Bankasur bank and flee to Brazil in the footsteps of the famous delinquent ¨El Dioni¨ . But what was supposed to be a simple hold-up job is complicated by the sudden irruption of Fermin (José Rodríguez) , a fifty-year-old impresario charged with explosives , who threatens to kill himself and demands the presence of television to draw attention to his precarious economic situation . Outside , a police line prevents the robbers from fleeing , so their only option is to become strong inside the bank by turning what they promised to be a mere robbery in a full-time kidnapping with hostages and explosives . A bit later on , the government high authority (Antonio Dechent) , Inspectora Jiménez (Maite Sandoval) , police and GEOs will try to solve the situation anyway . But what they are not aware is the presence of a reporter among the hostages . The journalist manages to broadcast alive everything that happens from the inside , turning the kidnapping into a media circus and the Culebra and the Cabeza , in improvised followers of the cause of Fermin . On the other hand , the hostages and the bank manager director are divided between those who are in favor of staying interested in the situation of Fermin and those who prefer to return to their homes by escaping . Despite police attempts to reach agreement with the kidnappers , tension grows both inside and outside the bank , making the things go wrong . But then , a Holy week procession takes place and it passes next to the bank.
El Mundo Es Nuestro¨ is an acceptable and funny comedy with several fun as well as hilarious set pieces and disconcerting scenes , social critique on economical crisis and many other things . As two colleagues decide to rob a bank , both of whom believe it will be smooth and rapid , but events get worse . This agreeable picture concerns a hold-up pulled off by a duo of unfortunate crooks but things go awry . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It takes a simple concept , a spectacular bank robbing , being schemed , planned and proceeded by botcher people and in similar style to Spanish classy ¨Atraco a Las Tres¨ by Jose Maria Forqué , or recently ¨Atraco a Las tres Y media¨ by Raul Marchand Sánchez , ¨El Palo¨ by Eva Lesmes ¨ or ¨Sister , What Have You Done?" by Pedro Masó with Lina Morgan . This is a comical and sometimes embarrassing account of a bunch of lower class people from the personal , social , cultural , and economic perspective , because needing all of them , urgently , a lot of money to resolve their problematic lives . In the film there are strange situations , swift frames , twists and turns ; but it especially contains ample touches of humor and irony . The flick interweaves fun comedy along with a social criticism about the deep Spanish crisis , including a real criticism to economic abuses , speculation , hedge funds , mortgages , unemployment , state debts ; as well as a little bit of suspense and action . This film is made to entertain , and this movie , especially for a good time and a pleasant entertainment . And it results in a highly original yarn , with a fine message about corruption and economical crisis , which is pretty-well delivered . The flick packs rapid dialogue in strong Andalucian accent , silly incidents , fun plot twists , tongue-in-cheek , grotesque situations and above all , humor . Sitting in a strange middle ground between the completely absurd and the stylishly cool . This film moves in fits and starts most of which would be desirable and some moments of enjoyment and others quite a few ridiculous . The characters are quite odd , grotesque and geek and the film races on at incredible speed .
The motion picture was amusingly directed by Alfonso Sánchez at his film debut . Here filmmaker delivers a passable comedy , though with no originality , in which the main and support cast are frankly decent . Alfonso is usually a secondary actor , as Cinema as TV , who has played a lot of films in brief but significant interpretations , such as : Ocho Apellidos Catalanes , Ocho Apellidos Vascos , Grupo 7 , Kingdom of heaven , Star Wars episode II , Captain Alatriste , Hospital Central , among others
