This DVD was a real treat. Scooby Doo! Laff-A-Lympics was a childhood favourite that still holds up overtime. As a big Scooby Doo fan, I knew I had to see Scooby Doo! Laff-A-Lympics: Spooky Games and I was not let down. Any other fans of the Laff-A-Lympic series will love this DVD, as the show fills a large part of it and all of them make for entertaining stuff. Along with the fascinating concept, the animation is crisp, the music and intro are memorable, the writing and puns are very clever, the challenges and backdrops are interesting and I loved the mix of the classic cartoon characters of the 60s and 70s. The new Scooby Doo episode Spooky Games was a lot of fun with a nice mystery, a decent if eventually obvious villain and colourful animation in the What's New Scooby Doo? style. But I don't consider it as great as the classic Scooby Doo and Laff-A-Lympics, but on its own merits it is nice and entertaining, when it's that you know it's doing something right.
All in all, a lot of fun as I hoped. 9/10 Bethany Cox
