On a train journey in Warsaw, psychiatrist Shaina meets Himanshu, who is a police officer from India to discuss their prospective marriage. Both are reluctant to enter into an arranged union but become friends and strike a deep conversation where Shaina reveals her previous relationship with the eccentric Devi, a man who lived only for his 'Kick' aka an adrenaline rush . Despite his idiosyncrasies they embark on a whirlwind romance, until one day he breaks up with her for a new 'Kick' and walks away never to return. Himanshu in turn regales her with his glorious escapades as an officer but mentions that he has finally met his match, an intelligent thief. What they are both unaware of is that their stories have one thing in common, Devi. He returns to their lives under the pretext of having lost his memory. It's all about SALMANISM and BEING HUMANISM but I didn't feel that KICK
Kick : Clear definition of this word is "strike or propel forcibly with the foot" and its a verb but what does SALMAN meant to say about KICK? What is his KICK?. In the whole drama he always utters" isse mujhe kick nahin milti". Debuntante Director Sajid Nadiadwala comes into direction after producing blockbusters in his earlier works, a good way to start his career in direction with Bhaijaan where he knows making a full fledged movie with him can earn him a lot overnight, irrespective of lousy plot. Coming to performances, Salman Khan (as Devi Lal Singh aka DEVIL) he can act,he can fight, he can make u laugh with his massy body language, his screen presence his enough to make u entertain but a new makeover of being bad boy with soulful heart. Jacqueline Fernandez(as Shaina Mehra) a psychiatrist with hotness cum glamour quotient performed well. Randeep Hooda(as Himanshu Tyagi) tough cop with 100% track record(almost in every cop movies with some exceptions) but unable to catch DEVIL was convincing. But stealer was Nawazuddin Siddique(as Shiv Gajra) he was the best thing in this action drama. with some comic villainous sequences(like Prakash Raj) was top notch. Especially a sequence where he kills a doctor wrapped under bubble-wrap and he is popping the bubbles, it was very natural. Comic quotient were added by Saurabh Shukla and Special Appearance by Sanjay Mishra, both of their sequences were hilarious with Salman Khan. Mithun Chakraborty(as Vidvan Singh aka Salman's father)with less screen presence still performed good. Unexpected Archana Puran Singh(as Salman's Mother)? she is just 4 years elder to him but mother role?? Shocking Surprise. Screenplay by 4 writers will always make confusion but some of the sequences were hilarious like Sanjay Mishra sequence and when Salman meets Saurabh Shukla for the first time. How come Randeep can't recognize Devi and Devil where he says"Case and Face kabhi nahin bhulta" he was just wearing a birthday mask. Story and script was on low side or I would say promoting being human but better than Bodyguard and Ready. Action sequences were top notch but that jump scene can't be compare to TOM CRUISE jump from Burj Khalifa. Songs are hummable with catchy background score. Dialogues by Rajat arora were good especially in the first half and
On the whole, its a complete entertainer with action, comedy, romantic quotient but 2nd half was too slow and unnecessary lengthy. No matter what are the reviews it will be a blockbuster at the box office. Everyone will always watch it only because SALMAN KHAN, his screen presence is enough to fill the pockets of producers and distributors. Its more about Being Humanism but "ISME MUJHE KICK NAHIN MILI"
