Set in present day Burbank, California and the surrounding San Fernando Valley area, BANK ROLL is a quirky drama that focuses on offbeat characters who team up for one daring crime. BENNY BIG-TIME (The BBT) learns his brother has been arrested on suspicion of a few recent bank robberies. With every bit of the life savings he's socked away over the years, The BBT hatches a plan to help out this older brother escape the repercussions of his fate by complicating his own with the assistance of five close friends -- ERIK, DEREK, JAMIE, K.C. and KYLE. The gang have only four days to create a 'red herring' that will throw off the officials and clear The BBT's brother's name by actually robbing a small bank. If all goes to plan, this is enough 'reasonable doubt' in the brother's case to clear his name. The BBT figures to exactly recreate his brother's crime and arm himself with only a few folders of photographs which contain the bank tellers' friends, families, pets, places of residence and ...
Six best friends...one crazy heist!
Did You Know?
The six friends who plan the bank robbery (Benny-Big Time, Erik, Derek, Jamie, K.C. and Kyle) were named after Maguire's six close friends from his younger years. The only bank teller seen (Yvonne) who is also pregnant, is named after Maguire's mother. The other two bank tellers (Annette and Maryann) mentioned in the movie were named after Maguire's aunts. The hickey-girl ate her friend's apple martini vomit and thought it was my cum. I felt terrible. This girl thought I came in only two minutes.
The closing credits include a person who had yet to be born: The bank teller "Yvonne" (played by Liat Roman) was actually pregnant during production. After "Jamie" takes a picture of her, he checks the display on his camera and the belly is featured in closeup. The filmmakers wanted to give this baby bump a credit in the movie, so they waited until Liam Roman was born and credited him as "Bump". See more
The version of 'Bank Roll' that played at various film festivals had music included in many of the scenes. The filmmakers removed all the music for DVD and video on demand sales, but bootleg copies of the festival version have been floating around. See more
